Jean Wilner Augustin: A Journey of Resilience, Growth, and Purpose

Born in Haiti as one of six children and raised by a single mother, my early years were shaped by hardship and struggle. Education, a fundamental right for many, was an inaccessible luxury in my world. Yet, amidst the challenges, my mother’s unwavering determination instilled in me the values of perseverance, hard work, and hope.

Despite the odds, I carved a path forward, driven by an unshakable belief that my circumstances would not define my destiny. My journey to the United States was not just about seeking opportunities—it was about proving that resilience and determination can break barriers. Through relentless effort, I earned a Master’s in Healthcare Informatics from Chatham University and obtained multiple professional certifications, including PMP, PMI-ACP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB), CAHIMS, and Leadership & Organizational Change Management. These achievements were not just personal milestones but stepping stones toward making a meaningful impact in the world.

Today, I am a husband, a father, a friend, a supporter, and a cheerleader—lifting others up as I continue to grow. My vision extends beyond personal success; I aspire to reach the highest level of education in the United States and use my knowledge to drive change. More importantly, I dream of creating an NGO in Haiti to support those in need, ensuring that children who, like me, once faced limited access to education and opportunities, can have a brighter future.

From humble beginnings to the pursuit of excellence, my story is a testament to the power of resilience, education, and purpose. No matter where you start, with faith, hard work, and a heart for others, the possibilities for growth and success are limitless.
